1. Role Overview

As the front line of the protocol, you are responsible for keeping the Discord and Telegram ecosystem free from scams, defusing conflicts, and guiding new users.

2. Daily Work

What you will actually do most weeks

Moderating conversations in Discord and Telegram channels in real-time
Removing malicious links, spammers, and fake accounts (impersonators)
Answering recurring questions (FAQs) from community members quickly and warmly
Logging technical bugs from users and forwarding them to the Core/Dev team

A clean and safe community environment free from scams
Daily and weekly moderation log reports
Structured bug/user issue escalation tickets

Self-Study Prep

  • Join 3-5 major crypto project Discords and study how their rules and channel layouts are structured
  • Learn how to configure basic Discord bots like MEE6 and Carl Bot on a private server
  • Understand the wallet verification workflow using Collab.Land or Guild.xyz

5. Apply & Interview

Application Strategy

Actively help answer questions in the #support or #general channels of the project you want to apply to before asking for a moderator position
Send a brief proposal to the Community Manager about what could be improved in their current Discord server
